1. Completed audit item
Author Management — Sprint 1
Status: Completed
Objective: Provide a guided workflow for creating, locating and updating author profiles while preserving the existing Version 1.0 article-publishing workflow.
Implementation completed:* Created and tested Form:Author.
- Implemented automatic author-page title construction using the Canonical Name field.
- Integrated Display Title into Template:AuthorProfile.
- Updated existing author profiles to use the Display Title field.
- Added Author Management controls to the Editorial Dashboard for viewing, creating and updating profiles.
- Added dedicated form styling through Template:AuthorForm/styles.css.
- Retained the existing Category:Authors directory and semantic author-to-article associations.
Verification results:* Author profile creation and updating tested successfully.
- Canonical title construction verified.
- Author directory, profile display, article bylines and author associations checked.
- Autocomplete-based profile selection tested.
- Dashboard controls and form styling verified.
- Temporary test pages and profiles removed.
- No visible regressions identified in the workflows tested.
Architectural decisions recorded:* Author profiles remain in the Main namespace, using the Author: page-title convention.
- A dedicated Author namespace was deferred to avoid unnecessary migration and compatibility risks.
- Canonical Name, Display Title and Displayname remain separate fields with distinct purposes.
- The frozen Version 1.0 article form and article template were not structurally changed as part of this sprint.

2. Remaining Version 1.1 audit items
The following work remains open and must be assessed separately. Completion of Sprint 1 does not imply completion of these items.

3. Release control
Version 1.1 remains under development. Sprint 1 is complete, but the release must not be marked complete until the remaining planned work, integration checks, audit and release documentation have been addressed.
Audit conclusion: Author Management is recorded as completed for Version 1.1 development. The overall Version 1.1 release remains open.
